Sheila Applegate, a clinical therapist and motivational speaker, will join theater Artistic Director Angela Daddabbo in talking about Applegate’s latest book, “Enchanted One: The Portal to Love.” “I’ve known Sheila for some time and she really just has a wonderful spirit,” Daddabbo said. “We knew we wanted to do something and after looking over the calendar, we thought why not do something just before the new year — it’s perfect timing.” Applegate will give a book talk, followed by a cocktail reception and book signing. Readers will also have the opportunity to meditate with Applegate on Friday night. The event is an opportunity for locals in the area to learn more about the author and what she does, Daddabbo said. “She is so passionate about this, and we’re so excited to be giving people the opportunity to hear more about her and her new book,” Daddabbo added. In “Enchanted One: The Portal to Love,” Applegate channels the spirit of Magdalene and Isis and combines teachings from both goddesses.
