I Saw the Tree by Sheila Gessler (Applegate)

A few weeks ago I was a guest on Awakening Your Soul With Diahanna. During the interview I recalled a paper I wrote in High-school English. The assignment was to write a story about something “Ten Feet High”.  I remember waking up in the middle of the night with the entire paper flowing from my heart. The story recounted the crucifixion of Jesus through  Magdalene’s eyes. I wondered if perhaps this was the first time I channeled Magdalene…so many years before she came to comfort and walk with me through my own grief and awakening….So many years before I knew that I was a messenger of Spirit. An amazing thing happened after remembering this paper. Less than a week later, my mother handed me an envelope which contained the very paper I was referring to. It seems I had given my childhood Pastor a copy of this paper for his Silver Wedding Anniversary. He just came across it and thought that I might like to see it. Neither my Pastor nor my mother had heard the radio show in which I had just recalled this story. As I opened the envelope I felt the timelessness of my love for my  Sister, Magdalene and her Beloved. Now I can share with you, my very first Channeled Message from Magdalene… “Ten Feet” no longer feels out of reach… and I am grateful that beyond the grief is endless love.   “I Saw The Tree” By Sheila Gessler  (Applegate) It stood in solitude on a hill, all alone surrounded by a crowd of screaming people. The dead tree of salvation standing “Ten...

Insights from Dan Brown’s Inferno: As Humans We Long to Be Understood

Last year I wrote this Book Review: Inferno by Dan Brown in which I stated “Dan Brown has been an inspiration to me for years.  His novels always seem to expand my understandings and help me to bring words to the very things that I am processing at the time.”  This post is a perfect example…” As a human race we have become infatuated with creating a world of black and white, good and evil.  This polarized view helps to justify acts of war and segregation. It is our desire to be understood, coupled by our unwillingness to understand that is reflected in the current state of our world. Whether it is a bombing, a shooting or any other desperate act, people immediately say “I don’t understand how anyone could do that…” When I express compassion and understanding for the multitude of factors that lead the violence it makes people uncomfortable.  It is as if my ability to understand is interpreted as an acceptance or endorsement of the behavior.  Even more it is interpreted as a disregard to the identified victims. I would say that we are all victims and we are all perpetrators of each of these acts of violence.  And this is the very reason many people refuse to understand others’ point of view.  If we take the time to understand all the levels that influence those we wish to label Evil, we will in fact find that what we see in others is also within us. Perhaps it is the fear of understanding ALL the layers of ourselves that shields us from understanding others and keeps...

A Message of Love about Malaysia Airlines Missing Plane

Our hearts go out the the loved ones of all the passengers on the Malaysia Airlines Missing Flight. As one of the few Syracuse University Students to return from England after the Bombing of Flight 103 over Lockerbie Scotland, I know first hand the depth of pain associated with such an event. As a Spiritual Channel, I also know the beauty, grace and support that comes from our world gathering in prayer and intentions of love. Last week a friend asked me to join with Spirit to receive a higher understanding of what happened to this plane and how we can add our love and support to this moment. What unfolded was so profound I am sharing it with you. Listen to this message now A Message of Love about Malaysia Airlines missing Plane. If this message resonates with you, please share with others. The more of us who shift our attention from fear to love, the more transforming the impact this event can have on our world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   As a clinical therapist, motivational presenter, author & teacher, Sheila’s passion is to provide a forum for people to process emotion & integrate spiritual understanding into their daily lives. Help Support Your Favorite Author: a “How To” List

It’s been just over a month now since the launch of Sheila Applegate’s book: Enchanted One, The Portal to Love.  As someone married to an author, I know first-hand just how time consuming and sometimes all-consuming writing and promoting a book can be.  It can be exhausting.  But I also know that for an author, especially a first-time author, publishing a book is exhilarating, and for many, the fulfillment of a lifetime dream. Think about it for a minute.  Browse the shelves of a library or your local bookstore, or even Amazon.com, and you’re looking at exceptional efforts made by extraordinary individuals, each with a passion to share his or her message with the world. Not everyone, including myself, has the inclination or ambition to make such a mark on the world.  For those of us who don’t, unless you know an author personally, it is very easy to take their efforts for granted.  A book, just one book, represents hours, months, sometimes years of toil and trouble.  While some consider it a labor of love, others may consider their book the worst “assignment” ever.  I know; I’m married to an author.  Remember? So what can we as readers do to support an author?  Our favorite author?  If you’re like me, and if you’re reading this post, I’m assuming you have an interest in doing so.   And if you’re reading THIS post because you’re interested in supporting Sheila Applegate and because you believe in her message, then I’ll use her as an example.  Here is what you can do to help spread your enthusiasm for Sheila’s work (or any...
